Demofoonte is an opera seria by Antonio Caldara. Based on a libretto by Pietro Metastasio, it was the first time that Metastasio's text was set to music. The opera premiered in 1733 in Vienna.[4][5]

Regarding Caldara's Demofoonte, there are two different manuscripts at the Austrian National Library:

1) Lists the singer of Timante as "Domenico", 2) as "Domenicino".
