Judith's maidservant (''nutrice'') sings a lullaby for Holofernes (''Oloferne''). She paints a vivid pretext for it by framing it as what Delilah sings to Samson, lulling him into sleep before she cuts off his hair – all a foreshadowing for the act to follow, where Judith and her maidservant take their fate into their own capable hands.
