Musiche Varie is a collection of pieces for solo voice by Early Baroque composer Benedetto Ferrari, published from 1633 to 1641. The Musiche Varie comprise of compositions by Benedetto Ferrari, some set to his own words, some using other poets' contributions, such as Giambattista Marino, Gian Francesco Busenello or Ottavio Orsucci.[1][2]
The dedications to the individual volumes mirror well the interesting times Ferrari lived in.
- Vol. 1 (1633): "Dedicato al serenissimo Signor Duca di Modena Reggio"[3]
- Vol. 2 (1637): "Dedicato all'illustrissimo et eccelentissimo Signor Vicconte Basilio Feilding, Ambasciatore del Rè Della Gran Bretagna alla Serenissima Republica Di Venetia.[4]
- Vol. 3 (1641): "Dedicato al nome sempre avgosto di Ferdinando III Imperatore"[5]
