"Esiliatevi pene funeste" is an aria from the oratorio La Vanità del Mondo by Pietro Torri. The CD La Vanità del Mondo names Carlo Francesco Melchiori as the librettist[2]. The autograph at the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek does not credit any.

The first performance in Brussels took place in 1706 in French; the mentioned score is possibly from a Munich performance after 1715.[1]
Piacere (Engl.: Pleasure) is an anthropomorphic personification, joined by Anima (the Soul), Grazia (Grace) and il Mondo (the World).
