Georg Friedrich Händel (jul. calendar: 23 February 1698/ greg. calendar: 5 March 1698 – 14 April 1759), anglicized "George Frideric Handel" was a German composer, very active in London. He became British citizen in 1727. Among his works are 42 operas and 25 oratorios.
